1. I would like to see it built on the proposed ICC route
Instead of the ICC. I think the Bethesda/Silver Spring corridor is too far in town and would rather see a Gaithersburg/Glenmont route.

3. I was thinking of Silverman
But I'm concerned about the amount of money he is getting from developers. I need to take a closer look at both candidates.

4. I commute daily along the path of the ICC (Rts 28 and 198)
And I can tell you that a rail line would do nothing about the high volume of heavy truck traffic (dump trucks, cement trucks and semi tractor trailers) currently travelling on these curvy 2-lane roads. It's there right now. Every day. And it's dangerous.

Apaprently those who drive for a living (meaning truck drivers) know that they can cut serious time off their trip by following this route. Who cares if the roads were meant for heavy truck traffic or not. And once every couple of months there is a fatal accident along the route during rush hour.

I'm VERY pro-environment and I also wince at the proposed cost of the ICC. But reality is reality, unfortunately. And reality is that the ICC needs to be built.

and if i had the choice I would take the metro everywhere but my job requires me to drive. I must say the traffic in NJ is pretty bad but I would rather sit in traffic on the NJ turnpike then the traffic down here. As a side-note who are people supporting in the primary for delegate in district 18. I am voting for James Browning ( who seems to be the only candidate whose made the purple line apart of his campaign) but I am not sure who I should give my other two votes to.

9. Welcome to MoCo, MD
We moved here 16 years ago this month from Somerset, NJ. Traffic in Maryland was nothing, compared to NJ, in 1990.

What I miss are NJ's jughandles for left turns. Here you have to get in the left lane and cross into oncoming traffic. And when you slow down to make that left turn, you incur the wrath of the SUV loonies who think you're not going fast enough.

8. My #1 Issue
I voted for Silverman and pro-Purple Line County Council people only in this election. That Purple Line is vitally important to MoCo, I'm sick of the traffic here.

11. I'd like to see it
Anything to get more cars off the road would be a good thing. I'm currently job hunting and am ruling things out in Sliver Spring and College Park because the metro ride would require going all the way through DC (I live in Germantown and own, not rent, so I'm not really interested in moving anytime soon). If the purple line was there it would make the commute much faster. So I guess my reason is mainly selfish.
