White Republicans will not vote for Steele! |
|
Well, a lot of them won't. I heard it from a republican phone banker tonight. When she requested them to vote for republican Mike Steele, a lot of the callers told them they will not vote for him. She would ask them why and they would all say that he is black. So she asks them what does that have to do with anything, he's still a human being and he has conservative values. She then says well would you rather vote for the Democrat? They told her they just won't vote.
Sad isn't it? They won't even give the man a damn chance.

Are gonna stain their white sheets...
Actually, the moderate Repubs that I work with are mostly against Steele because he's too far to the extreme right. Mostly his stance on stem-cell research and his backing the Iraq War are souring them on him. Plus he's kind of a political neophyte up against a great Congressman with a good grasp of the issues.

2. Why won't mod rep vote for Steele? |
|
Why won't moderate Rep vote for Steele? When the choice comes down to pulling out of Iraq on November 8th after the Election (Cardin) or continueing to pressure Bush to place a time table on Iraq (Steele) I think you'll find a lot of Mod White Rep will vote for him.

3. BS, I checked the primary vote totals for Frederick and Washington Co. |
|
,with Washington County being about 97% neo-con white and the totals for Ehrlich and Steel were similar that is with Steele running against what I suppose was a white opponet. Maybe some moderates won't because of his extreme right views but the neo-con idiots will vote for anyone with an R after thier name.

I don't think that Steele had any real opposition in the primary, but the voters could have just not voted at all in that race.

7. If I recall correctly, Steele didn't have a challenger in the primary |
|
And the turnout for Republicans was very low.

racist county (Cecil though it is slowly, oh so slowly, changing)and I know the majority of republican white males here will not vote for a black Republican. My SO and I had a conversation this weekend about it (he was born and raised here). He knows how racist they are, me I have a hard time comprehending it but in the end I would say the white males are so racist they may not vote for anyone for Senate because they refuse to vote for a Dem and an African American but everyone else is smarter than that and can see through what Steele has been trying to do (hide that he is a * man through and through). That can only help Cardin. I bet most people are smarter than Steele thinks they are and will vote what is best for them, not along racial lines. Steele's trying to remove himself from the republican party won't work on most people that vote in midterms because they are people that pay attention. Since I am battling a repuke county you wouldn't believe the number of people that are repuke and decided they aren't going to vote because they are all crooks. About the rofl, it is because I have been pointing out to them they are racist and they argue so hard they are not.
