Considering that the Republicans were painting Ben Cardin as a lack-luster candidate, a do-nothing who has just sat in the House for years, during the last election, I was delighted to see him bite big chunks out of Kyle Sampson today. Ben Cardin showed that he has what it takes when it comes to going mano-a-mano with this administration.

4. I actually saw him during the campaign. |

And no one was more surprised than I was when he whipped the crowd into fever pitch with his speech. Moreover, this was in a room full of Democratic candidates and their supporters, and Cardin was hardly the rowdiest of the bunch. So I was duly impressed.
So he's gotten secret weapons!
