I am going to be so pissed off if she wins. I don't think she's particularly liberal. There are two much better candidates.

for lack of a better word, when you're paid to post endorsements of a candidate, it's trolling.

20. Um, she wrote that article in November 2009. Where was her concern for a federal agency |
|
Edited on Tue Dec-08-09 07:03 AM by No Elephants
to protect consumers before Ted Kennedy was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor? In fact, where was her interest in any federal matter before that?
And, by the way, she is listed as one of two authors on that article, which probably means Elizabeth Warren was the actual author.
Sorry, but my observation, based upon all your posts about Martha so far is: either you are too easily convinced or you think we can be very easily convinced. Either way, so far, as best I can tell, the sum total of your efforts here has been to get one more vote for Capuano and to attract suspicion to yourself.

I can't get too excited over her candidacy, though I would love to see a woman from Mass in the Senate. just not her.

10. So, you like Coakley, Lynch and think Specter is anti-war. |
|
Honestly, the fact that you like Lynch and Specter and are making such a push for Martha Coakley here does not make me see her favorably.
I will support her if she is the nominee (everything would be better than Scott Brown anyway), but I seriously hope Capuano will win.

11. no my point was that Barney Frank should |
|
not interject himself into races without a frame of reference. Not a big deal! Im focused on tomorrow now! Me, im a big union democrat myself. I like Martha because she can get tough w the wall street crowd... be our ace in the hole so to speak. If i were a single issue voter or any of us were, we'd be in the GOP.... seriously Collins and Snowe should follow Arlen and we should kick Lieberman out. We truly are a big tent party!
Martha has been instrumental in the development of this Consumer Protection Agency! So yes I like Martha very much.

24. LOL. No meaningless slogans! With the health care bill pending, |
|
Edited on Tue Dec-08-09 07:22 AM by No Elephants
we need someone who actually knows how things get done on Capitol Hill. The last thing we need is someone who says she would have voted against the bill in the House solely bc of the Stupak Amendment.
Ted Kennedy was the ultimate Washington insider. With his Senate savvy, I'd be thrilled if he could still be filling that seat. The next best thing, though, is the only candidate in the field who does know how things get done on Capitol Hill, and a man whose voting record is as progressive as Kennedy's was.

23. Say what? She "co-authored" an 11/09 article supporting a federal |
|
Edited on Tue Dec-08-09 07:35 AM by No Elephants
financial consumer protection agency bill that had already been in Congress since July 2009, a bill actually co-sponsored by Mike Capuano, btw. Besides "co-authoring that very recent and after the fact article, how exactly has she been instrumental in development of this as yet non-existent agency, or in getting the bill done?
And, if you like her because she "co-authored" an article supporting an existing bill, why not like Capuano even more for actually helping bring the bill into existence well before Martha supported it?
As for Barney Frank, he is a Massachusetts Democrat who is also a member of the Massachusetts federal delegation, as was Kennedy. It is perfectly appropriate for Frank to endorse one of four Democratic candidates for Kennedy's seat. A number of other members of the Massachusetts delegation have done the same thing. (I believe every member of the delegation who has endorsed anyone in this race has endorsed Capuano.)

suit.
On edit: BTW, unlike you, I have not come with too little too late, nor am I campaigning. I've been posting in the forum about the race for Kennedy's seat for quite a while now; and I have posted a lot, not a little, about Martha's lackluster career and abilities. So, once again, you posted without having anything factual behind your statement.
