ElectionFest - Oktoberfest for the politically minded |
|
September 29, 2007 noon to 4 p.m. Ann Arbor.
Rene & Matt Greff of Arbor Brewing Company have generously donated the use of their outdoor Oktoberfest venue including open beer taps! Sidetrack, in Ypsilanti, has donated brats and buns! All for our enjoyment and with hopes of building an election war chest to win the vital 2008 election season. We have the chance to FINALLY win the 7th Congressional District and kick out that truly horrible congressperson, Tim Walberg. Come have fun and help in this worthy cause. Sponsored by the Washtenaw County Democratic Party.
The afternoon festivities include:
- open beer taps (soft drinks available, too) - bratwurst lunch (veggie brats, too) - music & dancing (DJ Ron Suarez)
- presidential straw poll (results to be sent to national media outlets)
- presidential candidate stump speech contest
- raffle
-Lt. Governor Cherry will be on hand for the festivities
Come and help the Washtenaw County Democratic Party take the pulse of the presidential primary with this straw poll! If you support a candidate this is your chance to sway public opinion. If you haven't decided this is a chance to learn more.
Join us for a super fun-filled afternoon, all for the incredibly low donation of $30 at the door. $10 discount with a current student ID.
See you there!
