According to un-named sources, Peters is seeking to destroy his opponent's credibility by using smear tactics on the internet where he can claim to have 'plausible distance' from accepting any responsibility.
The sources claim that they believe that this type of attack will bear fruit in the primary.
Dissenters claim that Peters has no courage because he doesn't use the words "Universal Healthcare" to describe his plans on the Hill. They also claim that his donations, mainly from lobbyists and big organizations, will lead to the same 'old boy's network' that we already have in DC. They also claim that Peters does not say he will de-fund the war, or will set a deadline, to end the Iraq Occupation. For that reason they claim he lacks courage.
The independant voters claim they do not like smear tactics that campaigns often resort to. It's yet to be known in this district if they will be successful.
