nice turnout, I'd say between 75-100, some very good speeches by the vets, students, and by a mother. Very nice event, hope the collective consciousness was felt somewhere. They're marching through Royal Oak on Good Friday for the "Iraq War Moratorium" hope to see some of you DU'ers there, great job book lady keep the faith.

MI - Michigan Royal Oak Iraq Moratorium As we start the sixth year of the war in Iraq, you are invited to attend a panel discussion where our panelists will answer the following:
What should Congress do to end the occupation of Iraq?
What should we the people do to get Congress to act?
Our speakers include Richard Peacock 11th Hour for Peace, Audrey Mantey Veterans for Peace, Scotty Boman Senatorial Candidate, Nancy Skinner former candidate. Also invited Senators Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow, Rep. Joe Knollenberg, and Congressional candidate Gary Peters.
This is the fifth Iraq Moratorium event to be held in southeastern Michigan. The Iraq Moratorium, a national movement, asks Americans to call for an end to the occupation and war in Iraq by some action on the Third Friday of every month. It is endorsed by United for Peace & Justice (UFPJ), a coalition of 1,300 organizations nationwide. 03/21/2008 7:30 PM (Doors open at 7), First United Methodist Church, 320 West 7th St., in the Fellowship Hall off Lafayette
