1. I bet at least one of these three is true: |
|
1. You will vote for him again, since his seat isn't up until 2014 and you will have forgotten this vote by then. OR 2. You're demonstrating a lack of perspective by making this one vote seem much more important than his entire record of progressivism through the decades. OR 3. He won't even run again in 2014, since he'll be 80.
Nobody in Congress is perfect. Not Levin, not Stabenow, not Kucinich, not Feingold, not Sanders. But if enough people actually refused to vote for Democrats based on one single vote, progressive Democrats would keep losing time and time again.

Levin has done a great job as our Senator over the years. Sometimes, legislators do not vote because they don't support the issue, but because they don't like the way the issue is presented in the draft legislation. Nothing's cut and dry, but Carl has consistently supported our values.

2. I feel like I'm being round-robined between them. |
|
And, what's he trading for this? He doesn't need the campaign money. Some vote somewhere in the future?
We have no real and honest representation even at the price of our lives.

Really, the disrespectful manner in which you're speaking is not an appropriate way to address a US Senator.

I’d much rather have Carl Levin represent me than Karl Rove and neo-conservative madmen frothing at the mouth to wage war to fill their coffers. If Carl Levin runs again, you can be sure that I will vote for him (again).
80 is the new 60? LEVIN in ’12!!! :headbang:

9. Levin's been a very good Senator. And he won't run again. |
|
But I won't vote for that torture-loving, bankruptcy-bill-supporting Stabenow. I'll just leave that line blank.

10. Carl Levin - my political hero! |

Thank you Senator Levin for dedicating your life to helping make the lives of the underprivileged and "the little guy" far better than they would have been without your help.
