Rode to a couple of polling places in the D |
|
There is voting going on in Detroit. I saw a steady stream of people going to the polls. School is out here. Hopefully all you Michigan Dems are calling your family members and reminding them of the importance of voting and supporting Democratic issue, Will report with pictures later on in the evening as people venture out into the city. Stay Hopeful!!!!!!

2. Surprising choice IMO. |
|
Surprising in that he and his supporters would go into the dirty city and not closer to their corner of the universe.

7. I voted at 10:00 this morning |
|
I was #109 in my precinct in Huntington Woods. The poll workers said it had been steady all morning. We typically have a good turnout in every election and Dems definitely outnumber Repubs.

4. I was Voter #295 in Precinct 3 in Kentwood, around 2PM. |
|
There were only a few of us there. There were five voting booths, and when I got my ballot, only three were being used. So I had my choice of voting booths.
The precinct went for McCain last time, even though Kentwood and Kent County went for Obama. It's a rather Republican-leaning precinct.

5. Was busy up in Traverse City |
|
I live downtown so my precinct is in an urban area. I was #372 at about noon. The gal working there said they'd been very busy. That is only exciting in my red county because the city is blue. I hope things are much slower in the outlying areas!
Good to see you ScottyUrb! :hi:

Edited on Tue Nov-02-10 04:50 PM by mstinamotorcity
in Mexican town. Voter suppression is going on. They have the people scared. I talked to some people and got them to send out a text to vote. And if any voters are having problems you may call this number to report voting irregularities. The number is 866-OUR VOTE!!!!!
You can call while you are at the polling place and they will send someone to check it out.
