Why is it that too many are so quick to point and something and simply criticize it without a better solution? Truth is that there are too many legacy costs for the State government to support themselves especially in a ever decreasing revenue situation. Got a better idea then BRING IT! otherwise you are know better than the rest of the problem! Use your brain!

And Snyder is stacking his administration with old Engler-ites whose "solutions" are tax breaks for corporations and billionaires, crushing unions, contributing to the homeless problem by closing mental facilities, cutting funds for municipalities and schools, and slashing services. I know that didn't work before and it won't work now.
Michigan needs to diversify its economy, yes. But with strong corporations, a return to manufacturing (diversified), and good paying jobs for the middle class. Snyder encourages 'entreprenuers,' i.e. small, privately-owned businesses that employ very few and pay them less, by recommending that the SBT tax be eliminated and regulations relaxed. Sounds like disaster to me -- just like the Engler administration. John Engler raped and plundered Michigan then ran away to Virginia with the spoils (coward wouldn't even live in the state after he sold us down the river), leaving Governor Granholm a nearly impossible rebuilding job. Now Snyder will benefit from the changes she began and won't be dealing with an obstructionist Senate Leader either.

6. and what is your brilliant solution? |
|
those "legacy" costs are contractual, are they not? people have been paying into those pensions for years, have they not? Let's just cancel them!!!!
i'm fucking sick of the "no taxes" mantra, then of course there's never any money for the state to meet their obligations.
got a pension do you? i think we should just TAKE IT after all, it is just too expensive!

Look at all the tax loopholes. The mantra that MI is not business friendly is baloney.
