1. Bodes well for Debbie, if that be the final result. |
|
Just me and my number crunching again. The sheriff hasn't quite figured out how to win the big game yet. But hey, Dr. K is still in jail...a victory, right?
Sorry Mikey, I will even put my anger at Debbie over the bankruptsy bill aside to say you are toast in November. :)

3. The backlash against office holders is true, but.... |
|
I think the backlash hurts the Goopers more than us. It's the tie-in to the thing that the Goopers are out of touch with the pulse of the country, old and young. Just me. Yes, there will be disappointments, but the future looks brighter to me.
I worked at a precinct today, and I left feeling pretty damn good. I am not saying we should not work our asses off before November, but I think it's a Bonderman/Santana duel (which I will be watching tomorrow in section 140), and we need to hit both short and long ball gems.
The train is running...wanna ride?

4. Seniors vote. And as I've said b/f, they are mainly women |
|
and they mainly like Stabenow. But republicans are hungry for this state and they'll make her work for her voters.

5. Personally, I think Butler would be easier for Stabenow to beat |
|
Bouchard is well-liked in Oakland County. I know dems who like the job he's done as Sheriff. He's not a bad guy, and the ad he ran with his daughter was hilarious-it's the kind of thing that sways voters.
I traveled up north over the weekend, and saw some of Butler's billboards that were obviously supposed to attract the rural voters. He was wearing hunting camo and holding a rifle. I'm sure the image of a black man with a hunting rifle went over real well with the rural militia and klan types who vote in the GOP primaries up there. He would never have run those ads in the Detroit area.

Bouchard was a state rep before he became sheriff. He has name recognition across the state. It ain't gonna be easy in the senate race.

Cannot stand Bouchard. But Debbie is going to have a hard time beating him. He looks like a "liar". I for one will vote Stabenow!! ABSOLUTELY NO REPUBLICAN PERIOD.

All the polls I have seen show Stabenow with a significant lead.
