Macomb County Dems - Looking to make a difference this Nov.?

[Strawman]

We have one of our own running in a race that's going to be difficult, but winnable. Terry Land has a boatload of cash, but she's a first term incumbent, and we're running a candidate with good name recognition and a good record of public service in Macomb County in Carmella Sabaugh. She can win if she gets enough support. This might be the most important race of all. Do we want some Republican stooge whose major qualification is that she comes from a family rich enough to buy a bunch of yard signs and billboards supervising our state's next Presidential election in 2008? Katherine Harris anyone?

Donate, voulnteer. Do something. It's going to take the kind of grassroots effort that can start somewhere like here to challenge Land and all her big money supporters. Let's not waste the opportunity of having a good candidate and a vulnerable incumbent.
