DeVos Boycotts Ford Motor Co.

Not that this is any big surprise, but Dick DeVos, Amway cult figure and GOP nominee for the Governorship in this year, has been exposed--for his family's financial support of a major boycott of Ford Motor Company.

The so-called American Family Association (a right-wing extremist group) is boycotting Ford because Ford continues to advertise in LGBT media such as the magazine, The Advocate. Devos's family, which includes his own and his wife's gives a "continuing grant" of $10,000 each year to the AFA. As well as other moneys going to the Aryan Bro--ahem....I mean "Promise Keepers." And the so-called Family Research Council.

It will be difficult for Mr. DeVos to explain to voters his commitment to increasing employment in Michigan while funding an effort to harm one of its most prominent automakers.

Whether DeVos knew it or not, this is more proof that DeVos puts his right wing values ahead of Michigan companies.
