Well, I guess that makes sense. Iacocca, afterall, gave the world the K Car. Thus, Iacocca has experience selling things that are uninspiring, under-powered and far from being the best choice in the marketplace.
Unfortunately, though, nobody has figured out how to design a minivan based on the same platform used to build Amway Dick. Thus, I think Michigan could end up selling out to the Germans even faster than Chrysler did.

Lido, I love you, but you've lost your mind.

4. Iacocca - Another Jobs Maker! |
|
More like a jobs faker... though I wasn't even born yet, I seem to remember something about a huge layoff when Lee was in charge. Oh Dick, you've got quite the team campaigning for you.

3. As the sister in law of a Chrysler Union employee I take offense. |
|
I'm quite happy with our Ram and our Pacifica...
Devos is horrid on his own... Iacocca left Chrysler years ago. Welcome to 2006. :hi:

The point is that, like the K Car, Amway Dick is uninspiring, under-powered and far from being the best choice in the marketplace.

5. I definitely take offense at Iacocca endorsing DeVos, |
|
especially in light of the DeVos family/in-laws supporting the Ford Motor boycott. I have written a couple of organizations trying to get info on a contact for Iacocca, but all I can find is his diabetes foundation. As a daughter of a life-long Ford Motor employee, I'd like to send him my "thoughts" on his TV ads for DeVos.
I did search Newsmeat for Iacocca's political contributions. I think among the most recent ones that showed was for a donation to Norm Coleman (MN). The few democratic donations were from many, many years ago. Someone on another thread said he supported Kerry in 2004, but I didn't see any financial contributions for him.

Is it me, or has anyone else noticed that the clips of Devos in this ad make him appear frantic, rushed, crazed?
Scary!!!

7. The big three know how to design a minivan the same way, |
|
but they can't. They have to answer to stock holders. Greasing the skids with a ton of money and entitlements doesn't necessarily make a good van, and really pisses off the stock holders for the wasted money once the public realizes what a sham of a vehicle it is.
