Anyone know anything about the Oakland County convention? |
|
Is it this weekend? Do you know where and when?

Don't no nothin bout no Oakland!
Macomb's convention was on Monday.
LIVELY atmosphere! For once!
Sorry about Nancy's race, but you guy's came pretty damn close, considering who you were up against! (Did someone say SATAN?)
Saw Darci at the SCS meeting last night! Gotta keep the pressure on our OWN now, to be progressive, and not fall into corporatist behavior.
Nancy would want us to be vigilant!

I don't know why they don't publicize these conventions or at least have something on the web site. I only read about it on MichiganLiberal and no one has said anything about where or when Oakland's is.
I'm still pretty down about Nancy's loss, but doing better than I was last week.
Hope to see you guys sometime soon.

Howard Dean proved to me that in politics....
Losing is part of winning.
Fact.

I wound up calling the OCDP offices -- the convention is tentatively scheduled for Monday, November 27 at 7 or 8 p.m. I have to call back Friday to confirm.

6. You know, I'm not really sure |
|
I know he had a lot more money than Nancy, but he blew a ton of it on the primary and was running out of money at the end. I don't know how much he wound up spending, but I'm sure it was significantly more than Nancy.
Yeah, we did great considering what we had to work with, financially. Nancy is a great campaigner and always wows the crowd when she speaks at events. I know she has a strong following -- we just fell a little bit short.

7. You guys didn't fall short... |
|
the VOTERS did.
Don't forget that.
You can't control everything and everyone.
You can only do the best you can with what you've got.
You AND Nancy did GREAT!

8. You give me too much credit |
|
I was, after all, just one of many, many volunteers and she had a great staff. You're right, though, it was the voters who came up short. It's their loss!

9. I just checked at tray.com |
|
and it looks like Joe spent just shy of $2.5 million as of October 18, and he had a little over $300,000 on hand at that time.
