They all voted for Obama, but only 3 for Franken.
http://www.startribune.com/opinion/commentary/34484079.html- "Al just did not feel Minnesotan. He worked hard to reinsert himself back into the culture of a state that is just different from his DNA." He went with Coleman.
- "Barkley was the lesser of three evils. There were things I very much did not like about Coleman. I think he demonstrated a failure of leadership at times. ... I didn't think Franken fit what I thought a senator should be. I didn't see him offering solutions."
- "My tolerance for this Senate race got lower and lower as I watched Obama. He was on a national stage and captured our hearts. Here in a state, Minnesota, with really nice folks, you have to be all nasty? You don't. I just rejected it."
The ones that did vote for Franken did so reluctantly:
- "The Senate race was so nasty. Obama mobilized so many. The votes that Franken did get, I think many of us would say, we did it resignedly" to assist Obama.
