No Bailouts for Billionaires! Protest: Tuesday, January 6, Noon Minnesota State Capitol, 75 Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, St. Paul. Minnesota is facing a $5.2 billion deficit. As in past budget crises, politicians are already plotting to balance the budget on the backs of poor and working Minnesotans. The Minnesota Coalition for a People's Bailout is working on their own bailout bill for poor and working people. "Not one dime in cuts to poor and working people! Tax the rich!" At the 2009 Legislature, the Coalitions will demand: jobs or income now; moratorium on home foreclosures and evictions; no layoffs; no attacks on immigrants; no one in Minnesota should be cold or hungry; protect public education. Sponsored by: the Minnesota Coalition for a People's Bailout. WAMM is a member of the Minnesota Coalition for a People's Bailout. FFI: Call 612-822-8020.
