Driver crashes SUV into St. Paul Planned Parenthood clinic
http://minnesota.publicradio.org/display/web/2009/01/22/pp_crash/

St. Paul, Minn. — A 32-year-old driver is under arrest after driving his SUV into the front of the Planned Parenthood clinic on Ford Parkway in St. Paul this morning.

Police spokesman Peter Panos says officers were called to the scene and found the driver waiting outside the vehicle, chanting or praying. He was taken into custody, and his vehicle was towed to the city impound lot as police investigated.

:eyes: no doubt some wacko fundies are going to say what this person did is great.

1. Hey that's where I got my vasectomy!
It's amazing all the things PP does that are not genreally obnoxious to even the most ardent of godbotherers (with the exception of traditional Catholics I guess in my case).

But then again asking the woo-woo merchants to consider facts is a bit optimistic.

2. Too bad they didn't give this asshole a vasectomy on the spot
Unfortunately, I'm sure he's probably already bred several times.

But driving a car into a medical clinic is pro-life???

3. He was "saving the babies"
the fact that he could have hurt a woman in the clinic for a prenatal check will go right past him.

4. Yep, another "pro-life" act
I'll never understand how the majority of the self-proclaimed "pro-lifers" are also for the death penalty.

But I've never really met anyone who was "pro death" either (guess I'm just sheltered!).

7. Jesus made him do it...
:eyes:

The man who drove into the entrance of the Planned Parenthood clinic in St. Paul on Thursday told police that Jesus instructed him to do it, according to charges filed today.

Stop the murderers, Matthew L. Derosia quoted Jesus as telling him, a criminal complaint said.

Derosia, 32, who has a history of mental illness, faces two counts of first-degree criminal damage to property.

10. Can Jesus please talk to the people at the Catholic channel?
And ask that they tone down their rhetoric.

From the article:

He "drove to the Highland Park clinic after he watched abortion coverage on a "Catholic channel" and decided that "he wasn't doing enough protesting."

The article also indicates the driver has a history of mental illness. Was he off his meds? Was he not able to afford treatment? Didn't HCMC have some funding issues with their mental health programs recently?
