5. Suggestions for free and close parking?

I think I'll be there, unless I get lost and frustrated.

That's the best I can think of. That's what I resort to for Sunday brunch at Lucia's when their lot is full. How close you get depends on what you mean by "close." The same block may not be possible. One to three blocks is quite possible.

7. It turns out that neither of my brothers can make it before one o'clock, so

I'll be stopping in for a brief meal, and I'll have the same parking problems as everyone else, since I'm going straight to the residence afterwards (no bus connections there).

9. Update on parking

If the Bank of the Lakes on 31st and Hennepin is closed on Saturday, its lot will be available. I know that the Sunday brunch crowd uses it as overflow parking for Lucia's.

I'd solve the whole problem by taking the bus (6 and 23 go right past, while 17, 12, and 21 stop at the nearby Uptown Transit Center), but I have to go to my mom's apartment afterwards.
