“In Defense of Iran: Notes from a U.S. Peace Delegation’s Journey through the Islamic Republic” Talk by Phil Wilayto
Friday, March 13, 7:00 p.m. tonight!
Sabathani Community Center, Second Floor, Banquet Center, 310 East 38th Street, Minneapolis.
Activist and author Phil Wilayto organized a U.S. peace delegation through the Islamic Republic in 2007. He will talk about the delegation’s travels, address the many charges being leveled against Iran and suggest ways the U.S. peace movement can help prevent a new war. He will address the following questions: Is Iran really a threat to world peace? Is it trying to develop nuclear weapons? Does it support terrorism? Is it “meddling” in Iraq? Does it want to destroy Israel? What’s really behind the ongoing tension between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran? Book signing for the book In Defense of Iran: Notes from a U.S. Peace Delegation’s Journey through the Islamic Republic follows. Free and open to all. Sponsored by: the WAMM Middle East

1. And if you get to see Rick Steves' travelogue of Iran, it's not political |
|
but it shows the Iranians as human beings, not as faceless "terrorists."

2. I did watch it and thought it was great ! |

Rick was honest with his preconceived notions of Iran and iranians.
I hope they play it again and again. Many in the middle east are very beautiful physically and spiritually.
