If Minnesota someday again has a very close US Senate election...
...in a November, then would you prefer

a) the current recount system, or

b) a runoff election in December

or instant run off.

Special elections have notoriously low turn out and, in Minnesota, tend to favor Republicans.

Because of the strength of third parties (mostly the I-P) it's likely to happen again.
