Anyone else here have any surprises with Target Visa Credit Card? |
|
Our limit went down to 5 thou after we paid it off in full about five months ago. Now paid it off again in full in a large amount and found out only by going to the phone site to check and see if they took my payment that they lowered it to a thousand dollars. Good thing I checked on it. What a bunch of assholes.

1. I don't have a Target Visa. |
|
I did get a 3.99% xfer offer from my mostly empty Visa, which I used to pay off the other card*, which will be locked up for emergencies only. I'll keep an eye on it, but I'm not particularly worried.

2. Which Visa is that? That is a good rate. We have good credit so I don't get it. Our Target Visa is |
|
for emergencies only also. Primarily Veterinary. Can you tell me and do you think they will stay at that rate?

3. Wow. Because of this post I checked my Sears MC |
|
I bought a blouse as a gift two years ago and they offered me $25 off the purchase if I applied for a credit card. I was expecting a $500 limit. It was $4000. Since I never pay interest on a balance there I have been expecting them to drop the limit. I checked and it is $7000 today. My first house in 1974 cost $6500, (I bought it at a yard sale.)
It reminds me of an old Rosanne where John Goodman (actor) asks Rosanne how they were going to pay for an emergency expenditure so she whips out a credit card and he asks what insane bank gave them a credit card and Rosanne replies said "It might have been because I mistakenly gave them your Social Security number as your yearly income".
My oldest son got a great credit card that way when he was in college. They called him in his dorm room when he was asleep, out sick he has no idea what he told them. Luckily he came frugal so he didn't put himself in perpetual debt with it.
No rhyme or reason to it anymore.

4. Interesting. We went from a $500 to a $7000 one. Then it dropped to $5000 |
|
with NO notice and now dropped to $1000 with NO notice. Got to keep your eye on the card limits now by yourself.
