Thurs, 7/30th. at 7pm. Minneapolis; Speaker, Kathy Kelly: Eyewitness Report from Pakistan.. |
|
The U.S war in Afghanistan is expanding into Pakistan. In an almost-colonial-sounding reference, the war is sometimes referred to as the "Af-Pak" war.
*What is really happening today in Pakistan?
*How does Pakistan relate to the growning U.S Military presence in Afghanistan?
*What are the effects on the Pakistani people of the expanding war?
Come on July 30th public meeting with Kathy Kelly, coordinator of Voices for Creative Nonviolence to hear an eyewitness account of conditions in Pakistan today.
Speaker: Kathy Kelly
Coordinator, Voices for Creative Nonviolence
Kathy Kelly is a long time peace activist, and three-time Noble Peace Prize nominee. She recently participated in a delegation to Pakistan whoes purpose was to learn about the political and socail conditions in that country and to see the effects of the expanding U.S war. In Pakistan she met with a broad range of organizations and individuals to learn what is really happening in their country.
