Bachmann, Kline and Paulsen to long-term unemployed: "Fuck you."
Edited on Tue Sep-29-09 08:49 AM by Minnesota Raindog
Minnesota Rethuglicans Michele Bachmann, John Kline and Erik Paulsen were three of only 83 heartless bastards in the U.S. House who voted against extending emergency unemployment benefits. Of course, you read nothing about it in the MSM because they're too busy mis-reporting phony staged events like Bachmann's appearance with Ron Paul (where not one local reporter mentioned the chasm between the two on foreign policy).

Read about Bachmann, Kline and Paulsen's big "Fuck You" to the unemployed here:

1. And their fanboys and fangirls will think this is great, because
they believe that all unemployed people are "just not trying" to find a job. At least they believe this till it happens to them.

2. Yep, the old "slacker" talking points
If they would actually go around their district, they would see things differently. They need to attend some job networking groups in the Cities and see the people the extended funding is going too, people just like them.

3. It wouldn't apply to us anyway because our unemployment rate isn't over 8.5%
Franken is working on a bill that will apply the extension of benefits to all states, not just those who meet a particular threshold. Hopefully this will pass and the Senate bill will prevail.

But still... I hope the unemployed in Bachmann, Kline and Paulsen's districts remember this next year...

4. Selfish thugs
Many of the unemployed will have to go on welfare.

5. When the unemployment runs out, a lot of people are not eligible
for any other programs - especially true for anyone who does not have dependent children.
