The observatory at Jackson Middle School is having an event early Friday morning (the 9th) for when NASA adds another crater to the Moon's surface. And unlike NASA's last little "oopsie", this one is intentional. :-)
They have a 14" telescope there and the weather is suppose to be passable.

We will be watching the LCROSS satellite crash into the moon.
November 17th, 6:30pm-9:30pm
December 1st, 6:30pm-9:30pm
