Special Election for St. Paul School board Nov. 3rd |
|
To be perfectly honest, I probably would have forgotten to vote. I'm a busy woman, and I have no school aged children. Then my house received three separate postcards for Pat Igo. One of them was addressed to a person I've never heard of! I wonder if it's a made up name so they'd have an excuse to send me another post card. I really hate this kind of nonsense, I just canceled a subscription to the Pioneer Press because they sent me four letters in one week too.
The postcard goes on to say
"Vote Igo for the only Republican endorsed candidate in the Special Election for the seat vacated by Tom Conlon."
What kind of ass face sends so many postcards to one residence? Do they honestly think that will endear him to me? I would NEVER vote for a Republican anyway. But, now I am going to vote for his opponent, and I'm going to grab every liberal I know and drag them to vote too.

1. I can understand getting upset over too many phone calls |

but who cares how many pieces of mail or email a candidate sends (or a company for that matter)?
There can be different groups doing mailings for a candidate and there can be some overlap - it can happen with a DFLer as well. At least a piece of mail isn't intrusive - and it keeps the USPS going.
