I do not live in Minneapolis but what do others think of Rybak's arrogance?
First, according to reports, he refused to debate other candidates and now, as soon as he was re-elected he is running for governor.

1. I don't like that either, but frankly there were no other candidates
who were not pretty much single-issue types.

3. But why run for governor at the same time?
What is he going to do in 2010: run the city or run for governor? Is he taking a page from Pawlenty who has been an absentee governor and be an absentee mayor?

And if he is elected, will there be special elections to fill his post? At tax payers expense?

Why treat an elected office as a security blanket, not letting go until something else comes?

(I take it that the anonymous U does not have a problem with this concept)

4. As I said, I don't like it either
But you didn't read the bios of the other candidates, who ranged from Republican to just plain nuts.

5. Apparently it didn't bother the voters in Minneapolis
He's made no secret that he'd probably run for governor and he won the election big.

6. It may bother the voters across the state
and, apparently, he has been fined for co-mingling the funds.

2. As I understand it, he plans to participate in other debates. I have no problem with him.
