and the court hearing for those arrested during the RNC continue |
|
Karen Meissner and Christina Vana will be sentenced tomorrow, Tuesday, November 10th, at 1:30 in Courtroom 840 of the Ramsey County Courthouse, by Judge Teresa Warner. The judge has gotten us one of the bigger courtrooms, so everyone come support our friends from Wisconsin! There will probably be jail time involved and the defendants will most likely be taken into custody immediately. If you would like to talk to them, come early so you can see them before court. The trial for juvenile Keith Smith continues on Thursday, November 12th at 9 AM at the Juvenile and Family Justice Center on the corner of 7th and St. Peter (diagonally across from Mickey's Diner in St. Paul.) The family is requesting court support, but there seems to be no possibility of getting into the courtroom -- court support will be limited to sitting with the family in the waiting room. Sarah Touchstone has an Omnibus Hearing on Friday, November 13th at 9 AM in the Ramsey County Courthouse in St. Paul. She has not yet entered a plea (either 'guilty' or 'not guilty') to the three misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor charges against her. Christopher Champagne, who defended many of the RNC arrestees, is her attorney. She is considering her options. Some friendly and supportive people here might help. Sarah is finding the experience of being called into court very difficult. There are no other court dates this month. Currently, the next RNC court date is December 15th.
