MPR: "Minnesota drops to 6th place in U.S. health rankings" |
The most telling stat to me is at the one minute mark of the interview: The percentage of children living in poverty in Minnesota has increased by 50 percent in three years! From 10 percent in 2006 to 15.2 percent in 2009. http://minnesota.publicradio.org/display/web/2009/11/18/minnesota-health-ranking/

1. I would like to see stats on the rise in birthrates among poorer and low income. |
It might well be that not only are people getting poorer. (ya think?) but that the increase of births in the lower incomes has risen also. I observe in the poor town and County that I live in that the people with the most children also drive the poorest cars, dress the poorest, etc.... there used to be advantages financially to having so many children. Personally my husband and I have run out of any extra money to help pay for education or any thing. Just my opinion.
