1. Little more info on this
Two Important Legislative Hearings: Stop Foreclosures and Evictions!

The Minnesota Coalition for People’s Bailout will have a bill to put a Moratorium on Foreclosures this year. Already, there has been one success—two “pre-session” hearings have been secured. Because of the way the 2010 legislative session is shaping up, pre-session hearings are more important than ever. Please come to these hearings and show your support for all the homeowners who are fighting their foreclosures!

Senate Hearing: Wednesday, January 27, 9:00 a.m. (Press Conference) Minnesota State Capitol, Room 125, 75 Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, St. Paul. 10:00 a.m. (Senate Hearing of the Economic Development and Housing Budget Division and Health, Housing and Family Security Committee) Minnesota State Capitol, Room 123, 75 Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, St. Paul. The hearing will include several testifiers on a bill for a moratorium on foreclosures and evictions! The chief author of the bill in the Senate is Senator Scott Dibble.

House Hearing: Thursday, January 28, 10:30 a.m. (House Hearing of the Labor and Consumer Protection Division and the Housing Finance and Policy and Public Health Finance Division) State Office Building, Room 10, 100 Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, St. Paul. The hearing will include several testifiers on a bill for a moratorium on foreclosures and evictions! The chief author of the bill (HF.2604) in the House is Representative Jeff Hayden.
