Who's behind this? Bush 'Miss Me Yet' billboard. |
|
'Miss Me Yet?' Billboard With Photo Of Bush Is Real There is a billboard along I-35 near Wyoming, Minn., with a huge photo of former president George W. Bush and this question: "Miss Me Yet?" http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2010/02/bush_miss_me_yet_billboard_is.html

http://www.startribune.com/politics/83886117.html?"It was put up by a group of small business owners -- who want to stay anonymous --because they felt Washington wasn't listening," said Mary McNamara, a spokeswoman for the company that owns the billboard. "They felt like it was a good way to get their message out."The level of irrational Obama hatred seems to be rising lately.

3. If you paid money to defend Bush, wouldn't you want to remain anonymous too? |
|
This is about as effective a way to "get your message out" as tagging a bridge with a can of spraypaint--and shows as much balls.
Republicans: So ashamed of their own message they won't even sign their name to it.

8. Good one! I also suspect it was Chamber of Commerce that paid for the signs |
|
perhaps without most of their members knowing it. Someone should find out who printed them.

12. Michele Bachmann: "Miss Me Yet?" Billboard is "Innovative" Political Message |
|
http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2010/02/19/politics/politicalhotsheet/entry6223843.shtml The curious "Miss Me Yet?" billboard, featuring a picture of former President George W. Bush, that appeared last month on the side of a highway in Minnesota is a lot more than a good joke, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) said today at the Conservative Political Action Committee.
Bachmann said the people who put up the billboard, who she said are her constituents, were "very creative, very innovative," and "got their dollars' worth out of this billboard."
She said the billboard was an example of how conservatives can "use your creativity, use your innovation… to take back Washington... one person at a time."
"These elections won't even be close if we take one person and make it our priority to utilize what we know is true," Bachmann said.
Conservatives are "in the middle of a political bull market," Bachmann added.

14. I thought that billboard was in Chisago County! |
|
That would be the Fighting Eighth District. Which is NOT Bachmann's. Unless the people who put it up live in her district and put it up in the Eighth on purpose; I guess that's plausible.
