CD2 - how is Powers doing?

I don't read much about the CD2 DFL race. I heard a brief snippet of Dan Powers on AM950 tonight. Some of you were talking about him last year so I checked out his website; he looked like a good candidate.

I'm not in CD2 but know he has a challenger. Was wondering what you MN DUers think of this DFL race?

1. My senate district is split between the 2nd & 3rd districts

I'm in the 3rd, but I saw Dan at the SD convention last weekend and he told me things were going really well and he was picking up a lot of delegates. He was really upbeat and enthused.

I don't know him real well, but I've always thought that, in addition to being a good DFLer (not a Blue Dog type), he's a nice guy.

2. Madore leading delegate count

Dan is a nice guy but Shelley Madore has the experience and passion to beat John Kline. Shelley is leading the delegate count 3-1, with the last of the SD/CU conventions to be held today. She has also been endorsed by many community leaders. www.madoreforcongress.com
