Protest St Thomas Law Professor Delahunty who co-authored torture memo 5/8 at noon |
|
Saturday, May 8 in front of Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis to protest the University of St. Thomas' law school graduation the continued employment of Robert Delahunty.
Professor Delahunty is the coauthor with John Yoo who declared January 9, 2002, that "treaties do not protect members of al Qaeda and the Taliban militia.."
Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld soon after that Yoo/Delahunty recommendation wrote a January 19, 2002 memo that noted that " The United States had determined that Al Quaeda and Taliban individuals under the control of the Department of Defense are not entitled to prisoner of war status for the purpose of the Geneva Conventions."

Once someone posts the pictures online, I can post here and will do so.
There were 3 large banners.
Who Would Jesus Torture? Disbar Delahunty Charge Prof. Delahunty for War Crimes!
The majority of the Law student graduates walks past us from St Thomas Law school to the Ordway.
We were on the corner of Nicolette and 11th St.
Many of them asked us if we had even read the memo? They also told us Delahunty were a great person and their friend. That we was a "nice" guy. ( sorta like the kind you want to have a beer with ??)
Hopefully soon I will be able to post pictures. Delahunty did walk past us and it was nice to be able to a war criminal "Shame on you! "
It took 30 years to try Pinochet.. and it make take that long to prosecute the Bush Administration lawyers but I do believe it will happen.
