Looks like the Legislature's Number One Asshole takes after his candidate and boss. First he helps drive the State of Minnesota into the ditch. Then he drives his own drunken ass into the ditch.

Will Buesgens use this nice portrait in his campaign lit?
Mark Buesgens, a state representative and campaign chairman for GOP nominee Tom Emmer’s gubernatorial bid, was arrested Saturday night for allegedly driving drunk.
Wright County Lt. Greg Howell says Buesgens, a six-term Republican representative from Jordan, was stopped shortly after 10:30 p.m. after a deputy sheriff saw him driving out of a ditch in Maple Lake.
Buesgens appeared to be intoxicated and was given a field sobriety test. He was arrested for an open bottle violation and a fourth-degree DWI. A fourth degree offense is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days in jail, a $1,000 fine and a license suspension of up to 90 days.
Howell said Buesgen’s BAC registered at 0.16, which is twice the legal limit. He said an initial court appearance has been set for Oct. 27, but the date is subject to change.
(This was edited to note that Buesgens stumbled down as campaign chair on Sept. 12.)
