How is the turnout in your area? |
|
I was #442 at 11:30 am in Minneapolis W10-P6 Pretty good turnout.
The judges said there were about 100 an hour since the polls opened.

Saint Paul W6 P13. I've never seen that before at that polling place at that time of day. Very good. People were coming in and going out steadily.

5. I was #463 at 11.30 am in my St Paul precinct |
|
Needless to say it's a very Dem precinct where the DFl gets 3/4's of the votes.
Election judges said it was very high for a mid-term.
Mark Ritchie had predicted a 60% turnout for today but is thinking he'll have to revise it upward (mentioned at Daily Kos).

In my southeast Minneapolis precinct. I think the thought of Emmer rousted Dems out of their beds early this morning.

12. I had an election judge ask for my ID |
|
Although I was already registered. She said it was a new law and I told her no it wasn't. When I returned home I called the DFL and they said it was happening across the state. They were going to call the polling location and put a stop to it.

I overheard someone ask why they weren't asking for IDs. The judge said that they weren't allowed to. He seemed to be challenging judges to ask for IDs.

ahead of usual totals. The final appears to be down from the presidential, perhaps off from the 2006 numbers.

All the booths were full.
That's Linden Hills, and it typically goes 80% DFL.
