Called Al & Amy about Obama's Republican Tax "Deal" |
|
Please call them too! We need to express our concerns...yes, their responses are probably what you just guessed:
Amy: Hasn't commented yet. Waiting for "the legislation".
Al: Does not support Obama's deal for tax cuts (I call them what they are: loans) for the top 2%, etc.
Amy: 202-224-3244 Al: 202-224-5641

1. Amy's finger is in the air, yet again - no surprise there. At least we have Al. |

I called. I had intended to call, but hadn't managed to look up the numbers. Not proud of that, but I did call this morning because of your post. Thank you.

5. Thanks to all! I know the odds, but...we need to let them all know |
|
Where is Betty on this? I heard her name (along with Keith's, of course) as anti- but didn't see her name on the House Dem letter (like Keith). I'm really concerned about the payroll deduction because it's on the path to defunding Social Security and Medicare. Oh, sure, money for everyone now (they'll say), but in 2 years, the Repubs will be screaming, "They want to raise your taxes. Again! But we'll save you, little people..." and then, "oh, we can't raise taxes again...can't increase those taxes" and we're on our way...chip, chip, chipping away...
WellstoneDem, I'm sorry about Tarryl Clark. As we all are. All of us regulars know how hard you worked on her/your campaign, and I appreciate and applaud your efforts. Some day. Wish it had happened on election night, but some day. (I hope it's because she needs to flee this socialist country like her poor in-laws had to! So they could come here and get government funding for their farm. Poor things.)

6. Ed Schultz took Klobuchar to task today for "keeping her powder dry" |
|
I gathered that Ed might be a bit disenchanted with Amy-kins. Earlier this week someone calling from St. Paul was on the Thom Hartmann show commenting on what a waste of space she is.
