"St. Cloud police arrested three men early Monday after police say they beat another man because he was gay....

The men hurled gay slurs at the man and beat him, said Martin Sayre of the St. Cloud police department.

The victim is identified as a 22-year-old from St. Louis Park. He had cuts and bruises to his face and hands, Sayre said....

They had not been charged in court by this morning. The charges could be enhanced from fifth-degree to fourth-degree assault because of the allegation that bias motivated the attack, Sayre said."

The only good news is article goes on to say that the victim did not receive medical treatment.
