Attorney General Jim Hood said Friday he has asked for the U.S. Department of
Justice's help in the investigation into the June 21, 1964, killings of three civil rights
workers near Philadelphia.
His office has already handed over its copies of FBI files to U.S. Attorney Dunn
Lampton, who said he's spoken to the civil rights division with the Justice
Department.
"There's no question we'll provide every assistance," Lampton said. "Our goal is to
make sure somebody has a view of all the evidence, that nothing slips through the
cracks. It's never too late for justice."
