You guys, Where has our spring rain gone? |
|
River just keeps getting lower and lower.
Good part - no storms with tornadoes. Bad part - no storms with water, that we really, really need.

without heavy watering. And I'm too cheap to do that. The river level problem originates with drought in the west, though.

4. We've had plenty of rain here in Mid Mo |
|
In fact we're still drying out from the last deluge last Friday. The reason the river is getting lower is due to the fact that states upriver from us, especially Montana, have been suffering from a multi-year drought. Thus the source of the Big Muddy is running dry. If significant rain doesn't start falling soon out west, the Missouri could be shut down to barge traffic next year, and dry up to a trickle.

It's May. It should be time to start swimming, not frosting.

7. It's here in Northern California! We can't get it to stop raining here. |

Rainy season (aka "winter") is from November to March, normally. We got a 3-5 day straight rain forecast and it's MAY!

dries out before the next deluge. I'm afraid the seeds and bulbs will rot before they come up.

Mine are worse this year than ever. The weed killer didn't even touch them this year. Could that be because it's too dry?
