Anybody here working the Dem Tent at the State Fair?

Going to be at the Fair either Friday or Saturday night and it'd be good to meet a fellow DU'er for the first time!

1. it was closed when I was there yesterday

but that was after 5 PM

3. I wish the timing would have been different..

cause I would have enjoyed meeting you. A few nights they were able to keep the tent open till 8:00, but I heard that monday and tuesday they had a really hard time finding people that could work. The fair tent seems to be sort of a free for all where any county that wishes to staff it does, and if nobody shows up it's kind of abandoned.

Part of me likes that it's the way that it is, because you never get the feeling that the tent 'belongs' to a certain group of democrats. It's not even a tiny bit elitist. On the other hand, I think that a little bit of organization might make the tent more useful, so maybe we could make it a DU project somehow.

2. I am!

I worked the first thursday of the fair, then today (wednesday) and I'll be there friday afternoon, but probably not till about three or so. I'd love to meet you if you get to come on friday. I'll be the tall woman wearing the "Proud to be a Democrat" t-shirt!

If you don't get to come till saturday, stop in and eat at Patricias. It's a restaurant near the fairgrounds, and I work there on the weekends sometimes. Ask for the democratic waitress..they'll know you mean me..lol.

but they decided to schedule me for every day of the fair at work.
