Anyone in Springfield MO protest Cheney today? |
|
He was to speak at a meeting of the Order of the Purple Heart. The president of that organization was on KSMU and said that he was going to ask Cheney some pointed questions about funding of veteran's benefits and VA hospitals. He also said that his organization asked the GOP to stop with the purple heart band-aids at their convention. Mention was made of the fact that Cheney never served and the Order of the Purple Heart guy said, "No, he had five deferments. But he may be President and so he needs to know our concerns."
So if no DUers were able to protest Cheney today, sounds like the vets grilled him anyway.

It might interest you to know that KSMU had an interview with a fine lady who was protesting. She was on point, asking why a "chicken" like Cheney was even addressing this group.
