Democrats Call on Talent to Return DeLay Money

Missouri Democrats have called on Sen. Jim Talent to return $5,000
given to him by the PAC of former Majority Leader Tom DeLay, who has
been indicted by two separate grand juries in the last week for money
laundering and conspiracy.

Talent has yet to return the $5,000 contribution that DeLay's ARMPAC
(Americans for a Republican Majority) gave his campaign on May 15,
2002, despite the fact that Missouri Congressman Kenny Hulshof this
week gave up the $14,500 he received from DeLay's PAC since 1996 in an
attempt to distance himself from the criminally indicted Republican
leader.
