Five members of the 13-person commission heard six hours of testimony from some of the more than 100 people at hearing on the St. John's Hospital campus.
The stories continued all day, most of them retold by health care providers and caseworkers:
# A 21-year-old woman who, because Medicaid stopped paying for body braces she requires for a disability, sat so long in her wheelchair she developed serious pressure sores. She required temporary nursing home care....
Democrats are doing this because republicans cancelled their trip to SW Missouri. That's probably an indication of how much the repubs value that part of the state. I hope they remember it when they vote next time. Correction, there was one republican with them.
