Mo AFL-CIO endorse McCaskill

The Missouri AFL-CIO announced today that it’s unanimously endorsing state Auditor Claire McCaskill for the U.S. Senate.

In a news release, the labor body called McCaskill, a Democrat, “the only choice for the working men and women of Missouri.'’

“Claire has always been a friend of organized labor,” said Hugh McVey, president of the Missouri AFL-CIO. “But more importantly, she has always worked to protect good jobs, good pay, and good benefits for all workers.”

“For the working men and women who comprise the AFL-CIO, this decision was easy to make. And for any person in Missouri concerned about job security, rising health care costs, higher college tuition rates, and prescription drug costs, the choice of Claire McCaskill over Jim Talent should be just as clear.”
