4. This has turned into a Republican weakness

The abortion ban bill scares Blunt. He was caught between anti-choicers and stem-cell research last year. No way does he want both on the ballot this year.
Crowell is at least as big an idiot as Blunt. If those two are at odds, the Republican party may be in real trouble.....

Blunt, who has supported other efforts to restrict abortions, said, "I’m not convinced it’s necessary" to pass a general abortion ban.

"I think we need to really focus on the legislation that will reduce the number of abortions in our state - not just set up court battles," he said.

Crowell said that he hopes his measure becomes law and that a challenge reaches the U.S. Supreme Court.

"The time has come for us to outlaw abortion. The time has come for these decisions to be made in these deliberative bodies, not by nine men and women who wear black robes," said Crowell, R-Cape Girardeau.

Today the Missouri Legislature is pro-life, but that might not be the case tomorrow. Therefore, pro-life legislators must vote now to protect unborn life.

Does this not make sense to anyone besides me?

Nine other states are moving legislation forward that protects unborn life. The South Dakota Legislature passed legislation banning abortion, and the governor recently signed it. A similar measure is advancing in Mississippi. Kansas, Ohio, Indiana, Georgia, Tennessee, West Virginia and Kentucky also are considering similar legislation. My question is simple: Does Missouri want to remain the Show-Me state or become the Wait-and-See state?

I have introduced in the Missouri Senate legislation that would outlaw abortion. Senate Bill 1248 would ban all abortions in Missouri unless the procedure is necessary to save the life of the mother. Senate Joint Resolution 43 would establish constitutionally for Missouri a policy that protects "the life of an unborn child from conception until birth." If the legislation is passed by the Legislature, the issue would be placed on the November ballot, giving Missourians the chance to decide whether or not to protect unborn life.

We already know that MO doesn't care to protect born life since they took health care away from 100,000 Missourians

My legislation gives Missouri voters the say on whether the state should protect the sanctity of unborn life. This is a decision that voters should be able to make for themselves come this November. The issue really is that simple.

Wade, 410 U.S. 113 (1973) or otherwise negating any constitutional basis for abortion on demand, or enactment of a federal law by the United States Congress prohibiting abortion on demand in the United States.

I was also referring to this phenomenon....

I agree with the columnist on this. Corporate welfare.
Beyond that, a waiver of a high end sales tax is in effect a waiver of a luxury tax.
