A democraticundeground.com bumper sticker... |
|
Edited on Fri Mar-24-06 04:38 PM by petersond
This really doesn't have to do with anything pertaining to missouri persay, but yesterday, while I was driving on highway 71 north, about 3 miles south of Neosho, a red toyota corrolla(i thikn it was a corolloa) passed me, while i was driving a large conversion van, two tone, grey/brown. I noticed this car because it wanted to pass me, and i was doing 80mph(yeah i was speeding). I merged over to let the car pass, and i looked at the cars bumper and saw a faded democraticunderground.com bumper sticker. I honked my horn, and waved, but i think i scared whomever was driving the car.
This post is just a very thin fishoook, to see if the person who passed me comes to this board at all. The car didn't stop in Neosho, but went further north, to either Joplin, or maybe further north. All I want to say to this person(it was a woman driving), is that I didn't mean to scare you, it was a fellow salute to a fellow Duer...:)
On edit: It was roughly 4pm in the afternoon...:)

Several months ago I passed the same car, two people in the front seat. A woman with brown hair was driving, some dude in the passenger seat. We were on Metcalf Avenue at about 106th by the Computer Depot. I honked my horn, rolled down my window and waved. I also motioned for them to roll down their window, so I could say HI! and eff those Bush bastards. The woman driving wanted no part of it and they ignored me. I guess they thought I was some gun wielding Republican asshole who wanted to beat the shit out of them for lovin' liberals.
If your out there Toyota driver, WE'RE COOL!

and I haven't been to Neosho in about a year. :)
I do wonder sometimes about the people I have talked to about my DU bumper sticker. I have had at least a half dozen people ask me about it at gas stations and at the grocery store. So if they are here, welcome to DU! :hi:

One that has passed possesion though, the people probably don't want to remove the sticker. I'm getting ready to sell my car complete with DU sticker, I hope it gets left on.

if it was left on the car, and rebought by another, they would either take the sticker off, you know, a little rubbign alcohol and whammo sticker off...but...maybe, they are a closet Duer, and they just don't know it...:P

The only thing that's stopping me from putting my DU sticker on my car is my aggressive driving and I don't wanna give a bad name for the place. I should just slow down so I can show the sticker off.

7. The only thing stopping me |
|
is my laziness really. I know i can order one, and but I have been lazy. I would only put one on my van, and not on my wife's car...the area here, is pretty aggressive, when it comes to view points that they dont' support, and i wouldn't want some jerk off keying my wifes car...now my van on the other hand, i could care less if they key it, or anything like that...:) I am also not a fan of using a credit card online, and thats another reason why i don't have a DU bumper sticker yet...:)

10. Up at the top of the page, where it says 'Search' |
|
You have to be a donor to search. It is a neat feature. You can search for anything that has ever been posted here. You can search by topic or by the name of the DUer who posted it.
