Kansas City Schools Start “Adopt-an-Owner” Program
by Wallace T. Hardcopy

In response to the plight faced by Jackson County’s impoverished sports franchise owners David Glass and Lamar Hunt, the Kansas City, Missouri School District announced yesterday the “Adopt-an-Owner,” charity program.
“This program is the first of its kind,” Jarvis McHarglehorne, this year’s superintendent of schools, said. “The program will provide much-needed meals, rides, and removal of road litter from our beloved owners.”
Lamar Hunt was the first owner to gain sponsorship in the new program, with Crispus Attucks School enthusiastically taking the unfortunate billionaire under its wing.
“It’s been a great year for funding in the Kansas City, Missouri School District, and it makes sense for us to give some of our good fortune back,” Earl Williams, principal of Attucks School, said. “Lamar needs our support and our compassion.”
