Time to start fighting back folks!

Dear Friends,

Are you tired of the cuts to the Medicaid program, both at the national and at the state levels (Kansas and Missouri?) If you believe that we should not balance our budgets on the backs of those least able to bear the burden and of those who cannot speak for themselves, then the following message should spur you to action to come to The Levee on Thursday, March 30, at 6:00 pm.

We are planning a demontration/protest at the next Kansas City GOP meeting, Thursday, March 30, 2006. The planned agenda for the KC GOP meeting will include a speech by extolling the virtues of the Missouri Medicaid cuts. The details of the meeting are shown below. Please join us if you can to protest the cuts to the Medicaid programs, both at the state and federal levels. We will demonstrate outside The Levee. If anyone wants to attend this meeting, they are welcome to try, but that will not be a part of this rally.Please pass this information along to everyone you know. Thank you and I hope to lots of people there.

The KC GOP is meeting at the Levee and we're going to protest outside?

2. The protest is starting an hour before their meeting

Their guest speaker is Sen. Koster from Cass County and he will be singing the praises of Medicaid cuts. So this protest is to stress the damage those cuts have done to poor people all over MO.

Then when the meeting starts, the protest is over, I am assuming. Some of our group are planning on going into the Levee and participating in the GOP meeting.

I doubt I will be interested in going inside for the meeting but several in our group plan on doing exactly that and asking some pertinent questions. The key one would be "How do you sleep at night?"

I would hate for them to show up at our DFA meeting and disrupt so I am hesitant to go to their meeting. However, I see nothing wrong with the protest outside, to let Koster know we are not backing down on our battle to restore Medicaid cuts.

9. You need either something like Photoshop

or you can open it with iPhoto and reduce it.
In iPhoto, open your picture, choose File:Export and click on the File Export tab. You can change the size there.
