May Meetup for Springfield Democracy for America is ON!

We've finally gotten funding for our first college
campus newsletter issue, and we need contributors! We will
have a 'Raving Liberal' corner, as well as an outlet for GLBT
issues called 'VoiceOut'. If you've ever thought of writing
some real news, or have items already written, please don't
hesitate to make a submission to me by email.

Jamie Schoolcraft will be speaking at our meetup on Thursday.
Jamie is running for our 139th district, and Springfield DFA
has pledged our support to his campaign. I am very excited to
hear what he has to say, and I hope all of you are, as well.

As some of you may already know, there will be a walk in the
137th on Saturday, May 20th, from 8 a.m.-noon. This walk is
not in support of any candidate. It is simply to identify and
persuade Democratic voters to get to the polls on election
day. We wish all the candidates good fortune in their races!

Well, ladies and gents, I am looking forward to seeing your
beautiful, smiling faces at the meetup on Thursday. We'll be
meeting at Harpo's, in the back room, 319 E. Walnut, at 7 p.m.
