Missouri judge has struck down the recently adopted Voter ID law. Starting with November's election, Missouri voters would be required to display an unexpired proof of identity prior to placing their vote. Democrats from across the state decried the law as racist and discriminatory towards the elderly and disabled. Once again the Democrat Party is attempting to divide the electorate.
Every effort was made by state officials to distribute identifications to those voters that did not possess one. Voters made the decision not to obtain a valid identification, not lawmakers. The Voter ID law is a good law and necessary to ensure that Missouri elections are conducted in a fair and honest manner. It's easy to see why Democrats oppose this law. This law effectively means that it will be much more difficult for Democrats to cheat on Election Day.http://thesource.typepad.com/thesource/2006/09/voter_id.html
